Description

Vega Sicilia Único Reserva Especial is one of the world's most distinctive fine wines. Produced without a declared vintage, it follows a historic Spanish tradition of blending only the finest vintages of Único to achieve a level of balance, complexity and harmony that cannot be attained from a single harvest.

The 2019 release is composed of 59 carefully selected barrels from the outstanding 2006, 2007 and 2009 vintages. Each contributes its own character—depth, freshness, structure and aromatic complexity—creating a wine where time itself becomes an essential component of the blend. The result is the purest expression of the unmistakable Vega Sicilia style.

The vineyards, with an average vine age of 35 years, extend across 210 hectares at approximately 700 metres above sea level. Low yields of around 3,600 kg/ha and meticulous manual harvesting in 12 kg crates ensure exceptional fruit quality before the wine embarks on Vega Sicilia's renowned ageing programme.

The bouquet is remarkably layered, revealing tobacco leaf, cedar, sweet spices, forest floor, graphite, iodine and distinctive oyster shell minerality alongside vibrant red and black cherries and ripe plums. Despite its immense concentration, the palate remains remarkably fresh and precise, with silky tannins, perfectly integrated acidity and extraordinary persistence. Built for the long term, Único Reserva Especial can be enjoyed today after careful decanting, yet it possesses the structure and balance to evolve gracefully for 40 to 60 years under optimal cellar conditions.

Shipping Time: Standard shipping takes 5-7 business days. Expedited options are available at checkout. We can provide an invoice for business buyers.
Shipping Areas: Shipment to continental EU *ONLY*. NO shipping to the UK/IRL/ISL or any other island outside or within the EU. *
Tracking: A confirmation email with a tracking number is sent once your order is shipped.
Delivery Conditions: It is the customer’s responsibility to provide an address where the order can be received. If delivery cannot be completed due to reasons attributable to the customer (incorrect address, repeated absence, etc.), reshipping costs will be charged to the customer.

Returns Policy

Return Window: In accordance with consumer regulations, customers have the right to withdraw from the purchase within 14 calendar days from receipt of the order, provided that the bottles are in their original, unopened packaging. To exercise this right, customers must notify us in writing via contact form, stating the order number and the products to be returned. Return shipping costs will be borne by the customer, except in the case of defective products or shipping errors.
Withdrawal Exceptions: Returns will not be accepted for opened or tampered bottles, or for personalised products.
Damaged or Incorrect Products: If you receive a damaged product or one different from the item ordered, you must notify us within 24 hours of receipt, attaching photographs of the packaging and the affected product. Vin Finesse will arrange for a replacement or a refund, including any associated shipping.
