Description

La Basseta 2021 is a red wine made exclusively from Garnacha grown on the La Basseta estate, one of the highest vineyards in La Vilella Alta, situated 500 meters above sea level.

In the cellar, it matured in used French oak barrels of 228 and 500 liters, followed by 12 months in concrete tanks and foudres.

An intense and balanced Priorat, floral in character, with juicy fruit and superb tannins that promise excellent aging potential. Only 4,000 bottles were produced.

Shipping Areas: Shipment to continental EU *ONLY*. NO shipping to the UK/IRL/ISL or any other island outside or within the EU. *
Tracking: A confirmation email with a tracking number is sent once your order is shipped.
Delivery Conditions: It is the customer’s responsibility to provide an address where the order can be received. If delivery cannot be completed due to reasons attributable to the customer (incorrect address, repeated absence, etc.), reshipping costs will be charged to the customer.

Returns Policy

Return Window: In accordance with consumer regulations, customers have the right to withdraw from the purchase within 14 calendar days from receipt of the order, provided that the bottles are in their original, unopened packaging. To exercise this right, customers must notify us in writing via contact form, stating the order number and the products to be returned. Return shipping costs will be borne by the customer, except in the case of defective products or shipping errors.
Withdrawal Exceptions: Returns will not be accepted for opened or tampered bottles, or for personalised products.
Damaged or Incorrect Products: If you receive a damaged product or one different from the item ordered, you must notify us within 24 hours of receipt, attaching photographs of the packaging and the affected product. Vin Finesse will arrange for a replacement or a refund, including any associated shipping.

“The 2021 La Basseta is a village red from La Vilella Alta and was produced with Garnacha from one vineyard (in the process of being classified as viña clasificada) in the highest part of the village at 500 meters above sea level. This is the last vineyard they harvest, at the end of October. The wine matured in used 228- and 500-liter oak barrels, followed by 12 months in concrete and foudre. It's floral and perfumed, quite showy, juicy and with abundant tannins. It's ripe and comes in at 15.5% alcohol and has a pH of 3.5. It's powerful but balanced and finishes dry with dusty minerality. Very Priorat. It should age nicely in bottle. 4,000 bottles were filled in March 2024.”
