Description

Jean Foillard is one of the leading names in the natural wine movement and a benchmark in Morgon, Beaujolais’ most prestigious cru. Working biodinamically on the famous Côte du Py slope, Foillard focuses on expressing the character of old Gamay vines rooted in schist and granite soils.

The grapes, hand-harvested from old vines, undergo traditional whole-cluster carbonic maceration for 3–4 weeks, followed by 6–9 months of ageing in used Burgundy barrels. No filtration and minimal SO₂ preserve the wine’s precision and purity.

The 2022 vintage delivers ripe red cherry and blackberry fruit with hints of violet, spice, and crushed stone. On the palate, it is fresh, supple, and finely structured, with a long, mineral finish. A reference point for Morgon that combines authenticity, balance, and ageing potential.

Shipping Time: Standard shipping takes 5-7 business days. Expedited options are available at checkout. We can provide an invoice for business buyers.
Shipping Areas: Shipment to continental EU *ONLY*. NO shipping to the UK/IRL/ISL or any other island outside or within the EU. *
Tracking: A confirmation email with a tracking number is sent once your order is shipped.
Delivery Conditions: It is the customer’s responsibility to provide an address where the order can be received. If delivery cannot be completed due to reasons attributable to the customer (incorrect address, repeated absence, etc.), reshipping costs will be charged to the customer.

Returns Policy

Return Window: In accordance with consumer regulations, customers have the right to withdraw from the purchase within 14 calendar days from receipt of the order, provided that the bottles are in their original, unopened packaging. To exercise this right, customers must notify us in writing via contact form, stating the order number and the products to be returned. Return shipping costs will be borne by the customer, except in the case of defective products or shipping errors.
Withdrawal Exceptions: Returns will not be accepted for opened or tampered bottles, or for personalised products.
Damaged or Incorrect Products: If you receive a damaged product or one different from the item ordered, you must notify us within 24 hours of receipt, attaching photographs of the packaging and the affected product. Vin Finesse will arrange for a replacement or a refund, including any associated shipping.

UNCORK THE EXTRAORDINARY

The 2022 Morgon Côte du Py has another very attractive bouquet with just a touch more fruit intensity than the Côte du Py, wonderful mineralité and tension. Very composed. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins, a little sturdier than the Cuvée Corcelette. There’s fine grip toward the finish with a persistent peppery aftertaste. Be patient. Drink 2027 - 2037.
