Description

Gianfranco Alessandria farms approximately 7 hectares in Monforte d’Alba, focusing on indigenous varieties including Nebbiolo, Barbera and Dolcetto. The estate follows a philosophy based on sustainable common-sense farming, manual vineyard work and low-intervention winemaking designed to preserve the identity of Barolo terroir.

This 2021 Barolo comes from vineyards located in the Bussia San Giovanni MGA, one of Monforte’s most respected crus for producing wines of depth, structure and longevity. Grapes are hand-harvested with strict bunch selection to ensure optimal fruit quality.

Fermentation takes place at controlled temperatures with short to medium macerations to preserve aromatic precision and balance. The wine is then aged in 225-litre French oak barrels, 20% new, adding complexity and subtle spice integration.

The aromatic profile reveals dark fruit, crushed flowers, licorice and sweet cinnamon notes from oak ageing. On the palate, the wine delivers silky tannins, vibrant acidity and remarkable freshness, already showing the balance and structure required for long bottle evolution.

Shipping Areas: Shipment to continental EU *ONLY*. NO shipping to the UK/IRL/ISL or any other island outside or within the EU. *
Tracking: A confirmation email with a tracking number is sent once your order is shipped.
Delivery Conditions: It is the customer’s responsibility to provide an address where the order can be received. If delivery cannot be completed due to reasons attributable to the customer (incorrect address, repeated absence, etc.), reshipping costs will be charged to the customer.

Returns Policy

Return Window: In accordance with consumer regulations, customers have the right to withdraw from the purchase within 14 calendar days from receipt of the order, provided that the bottles are in their original, unopened packaging. To exercise this right, customers must notify us in writing via contact form, stating the order number and the products to be returned. Return shipping costs will be borne by the customer, except in the case of defective products or shipping errors.
Withdrawal Exceptions: Returns will not be accepted for opened or tampered bottles, or for personalised products.
Damaged or Incorrect Products: If you receive a damaged product or one different from the item ordered, you must notify us within 24 hours of receipt, attaching photographs of the packaging and the affected product. Vin Finesse will arrange for a replacement or a refund, including any associated shipping.

UNCORK THE EXTRAORDINARY

The Gianfranco Alessandria 2021 Barolo shows terrific balance with dark fruit, crushed flowers, licorice and cinnamon sweetness from oak aging. The wine matures in 225-liter French barrel, with 20% new wood. From this vantage point, while the wine is so young, you can already see how it will come together with bottle age thanks to silky tannins and crunchy fruit. However, the alcohol content is high at 15%. This is a production of 15,000 bottles plus some magnums.
