Dominio del Águila Reserva 2020 is sourced from a selection of old and pre-phylloxera vineyards in La Aguilera, planted at around 800 metres altitude on red clay soils with limestone influence. These high-altitude conditions are key to preserving freshness and defining the wine’s tension and aromatic precision.

Jorge Monzón, trained at Domaine de la Romanée-Conti and Vega Sicilia, applies a rigorous, terroir-driven approach that places viticulture and vineyard expression at the core. The wine is aged for 33 months in French oak barrels within traditional underground cellars, allowing for slow integration and structural refinement.

The 2020 vintage shows an open and perfumed nose, with red fruit, floral notes and subtle spice. The palate is medium to full-bodied, with concentration balanced by freshness. Fine, chalky tannins provide structure and length, leading to a persistent finish marked by licorice and violet notes.

Política de devoluciones

Derecho de desistimiento: Según la normativa de consumo, el cliente tiene derecho a desistir de la compra en un plazo de 14 días naturales desde la recepción del pedido, siempre que las botellas se encuentren en su embalaje original y sin abrir. Para ejercer este derecho, el cliente deberá notificarlo por escrito a través del formulario de contacto, indicando el número de pedido y los productos a devolver. Los gastos de devolución correrán a cargo del cliente, salvo en caso de producto defectuoso o error en el envío.
Excepciones al desistimiento: No se aceptarán devoluciones de botellas abiertas o manipuladas, ni de productos personalizados.
Productos dañados o erróneos: En caso de recibir un producto dañado o diferente al solicitado, el cliente deberá comunicarlo en un plazo máximo de 24 horas desde la recepción, enviando fotografías del embalaje y del producto afectado. Vin Finesse se hará cargo de la reposición o reembolso del importe, incluyendo los gastos de envío asociados.

“The nose of the 2020 Reserva is beautiful, perfumed and floral, showy and expressive, really open. The palate is medium to full-bodied, with fine-boned and very fine and chalky tannins. It has 14% alcohol, not a shy red, with power and concentration, freshness and terrific balance. It has a long finish with a touch of licorice and violets. It has to be among the best vintages for Reserva. 2020 was a very good year for Dominio del Águila. It matured in French oak barrels for 33 months. 38,221 bottles and 868 magnums produced. It was bottled in July 2023. It is young but approachable and should age beautifully.”

“Sourced from over one hundred different old-vine parcels in La Aguilera - Jorge Monzón uses more than 400 of them in total - this is a whole bunch fermented cuvée of Tinto Fino and 5% other varieties. Serious, firm and structured, with aromas of pepper, iodine, oregano and pine needles, this is grippy and intense, with flavours of fig, damson and blood orange and a dusting of sweet spices.”
