César Márquez Sufreiral 2022 comes from one of the most distinctive vineyards in Bierzo, planted on rare limestone soils—representing less than 3% of the region—bringing a unique mineral and structural identity to the wine.

César Márquez, nephew of Raúl Pérez and trained at Castro Ventosa as well as in Mendoza, has quickly established himself as one of the leading figures of the new generation in Bierzo. His work focuses on small, old-vine parcels, farmed with precision to express each site’s character.

Sufreiral stands out within his range for its finesse and structure. The 2022 vintage was marked by warm conditions, yet the wine retains remarkable freshness and balance. Fermentation included 25% whole clusters, enhancing aromatic lift and structural definition. Ageing took place over 12 months in 500- and 600-litre oak barrels, preserving purity of fruit.

The result is a fine-boned, elegant red with a chalky texture and very refined tannins. The palate is precise and linear, with a stony, almost austere character and a long, persistent finish with subtle saline notes. A distinctly Burgundian expression of Mencía, combining restraint, complexity and ageing potential.

Política de devoluciones

Para ejercer este derecho, el cliente deberá notificarlo por escrito a través del formulario de contacto, indicando el número de pedido y los productos a devolver. Los gastos de devolución correrán a cargo del cliente, salvo en caso de producto defectuoso o error en el envío.
Excepciones al desistimiento: No se aceptarán devoluciones de botellas abiertas o manipuladas, ni de productos personalizados.
Productos dañados o erróneos: En caso de recibir un producto dañado o diferente al solicitado, el cliente deberá comunicarlo en un plazo máximo de 24 horas desde la recepción, enviando fotografías del embalaje y del producto afectado. Vin Finesse se hará cargo de la reposición o reembolso del importe, incluyendo los gastos de envío asociados.

UNCORK THE EXTRAORDINARY

The one wine that is different, as it comes from the rare limestone soils in Bierzo (less than 3% in the region), is the 2022 Sufreiral. It comes through as very fine-boned, elegant and complex, with very fine tannins, a chalky texture and a long, tasty and almost salty finish. It has a stony, austere sensation akin to a wine from a cooler year, which is quite remarkable for a torrid year like 2022. This is very close to the quality of the 2021, which is remarkable. It has contained ripeness, 13.3% alcohol and a pH of 3.67. This is the most Burgundian of the 2022s. It fermented with 25% full clusters and matured in 500- and 600-liter oak barrels for 12 months. 1,940 bottles produced. It was bottled in January 2024.
